What Are You Believing For | Stick with the Plan | Amy Bailey Adkins
Are you asking God for some BIG things this year? I know in my life, if I will begin to break down those big desires & dreams into bite size pieces, it’s easier to hook my heart up in faith to see them come to pass. Start by writing down the first step towards that dream, then the next. Here’s how the Bible says it, “Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.” Habakkuk 2:2-3 NKJV The Lord says write it down & make it plain so you can run with it. Writing it down will boost your productivity and keep you focused when distractions come. Let this video encourage you today to write your vision and start running towards it today!
Once you have won a victory over the enemy, stand your ground and maintain your land. In the Old Testament, they would place a stone on the ground to mark their triumphs in battle. If they won a city or took new territories, many times a marker would be placed to remind them, “The Lord has been with us this far!” And they would never allow their opponents to cross that line. In our lives, we can apply this same principle. When God has delivered you from something lay a stone to remind yourself I’ll never return to that addiction or torment again. Be inspired today and say God has been with me this far and I AM NOT TURNING BACK NOW!

This new year will require you to think bigger and speak better. The Lord spoke to my heart in these words, “Get yourself to God in 2022!” What does that look like? Going to church every chance you can whether you feel like it or not. Kneeling down in your prayer closet and praying as a reflection of your heart. Lifting your hands in worship to show God you love Him and you’re yielded to His will for your life. There should be a physical demonstration of the attitude of our inward devotion. My dad told me the Lord spoke to his heart along these lines and said, “I live in your words.” This made my dad want to speak words of life so God had something to live in. I’m challenging you this new year to let God’s word Re-New You!
Re-New You in 2022 | Stick with the plan | Happy New Year
Many people feel so far from God. They want to reconnect and have no idea how. This example may help. My Christmas tree went dark, none of the lights would work. I texted my husband, “Should I go get new lights and start all over?” He said, “Wait, let me check the fuse when I get home.” Sure enough, it was a tiny little fuse that had gone bad. When he replaced it, the lights were back on. He said immediately the Lord spoke this revelation to his heart, “It’s not as hard as people think to reconnect with Me!” Meaning, it only took a tiny fuse being replaced, where I thought I had to start all over and buy new lights. Yet, all was not lost, after the reconnection it worked perfectly. No matter how bad or how lost the enemy has made you feel, you are just one little adjustment away from being perfectly connected to your Father God again.
This is the season of miracles. Every time I get a chance to speak on miracles and tell testimonies of the power of God, His anointing for more miracles shows up! We see miracles in the people. Think about this example, when the angel Gabriel appeared to the Virgin Mary, he reminded her of the miracle of her cousin Elizabeth, who was barren and past the age of child bearing was in fact with child, 6 months in the womb. I think once Mary heard of this miracle, the faith in her heart arose and she was able to believe, “Be it unto me, according to your word!” What a miracle! Nothing is impossible with our God!

We try so hard to be perfect especially at Christmas time. We’ll stay up all night putting the “finishing touches” on our family traditions, like making sure every cookie and Christmas decoration is just right. Perfectionism can be such a slave driver. We are children of God not slaves to fear. Therefore, our master is not fear, not perfectionism, not pleasing the people around us. Some of my greatest Christmas memories growing up are the times that were spontaneous and unexpected. The very best memories are made when we’re not worried about being perfect but can just enjoy the moment and love the ones around us.

The holidays can be a very depressing time for some people. I think because it’s easy to look around and get sad about what you don’t have or how tight the budget is this year. One could be discouraged because a loved ones has passed away. I want to encourage you today not to think about everything that’s missing but to instead begin to count your blessings! Let’s think about what we do have! Being grateful for what you have today will bring increase tomorrow. The trick of the enemy is to keep you concentrated on the negative, so you’ll be worried and set up. Counting your blessing, in turn, provides peace instead of stress. So today, stop thinking about what’s depressing and start counting your blessings.

It seems we feel so much pressure to be good at everything when the truth is we’d be more effective and less stressed if we’d just stick to what we are good at. For example, I can make a great banana cake but my friends always request other desserts from me. But I know better than to get stressed out trying to please others. The best thing for me is to stick to making the banana cake. That’s what I’m great at. Be encouraged today, don’t let outside pressure try to distract from what you are truly gifted to do! Follow your heart and the leading of the Lord to discovering the greatness within you.

No more chains! Your chains could be anxiety or depression. Maybe a sickness or negative comments people have made about you. You carry these chains around with you making you feel heavy and unqualified for God to use. Recently, we hosted a young ladies’ conference called Crowned. The very theme of this meeting was, “When chains start breaking, it might get loud!” That’s exactly what happened. These young ladies were freed of their chains in the presence of God. My prayer today is as you watch this video, you’ll feel the power of the Holy Spirit to break any chain you might be carrying.

In celebrating our 5th year of Stick With the Plan, I was reminded how it all started. I didn’t feel like I would ever be ready to start. I deleted the first video 50 times before we published it. The truth is, if you never start, you can’t ever develop or perfect your talent. I had to get over myself, in order for God to do something bigger through me. We see examples of this in the Bible. Gideon felt he was the smallest of the small, but God called him a might my man of valor. Esther was an orphan, yet God saw a queen! When you think your gift is just for you, you’ll stay small. Today, realize your gift goes beyond just you to get Jesus to the people!
